Mr. Joe Elizondo is no stranger to adversity. His hometown, Starr County, Texas is marked by a high poverty rate of 35.4% and a literacy rate of 69%. Despite these challenges, Joe Ben saw education as his way forward. With determination, he earned degrees in Marketing from the University of Texas San Antonio and Communication Disorders from Utah State University. For fifteen years, Joe Ben has been a high school teacher in Business and Entrepreneurship, earning the Teacher-of-the-Year title in 2016 and 2018. His classroom is a place where students are encouraged to think big and work towards their futures. Outside the classroom, Joe Ben runs his own businesses, applying his theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
