Hello, I'm Samantha M.

Hi! My name is Ms. Mitchell and I'm from Ohio. I have a Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education. I'm licensed to teach any and all Social Studies courses in grades 7-12. Courses I have previously taught include: - 7th grade Ancient World History - 8th grade American History (through 1877) - 10th grade American History (1877-present) - American Government (11th and 12th grade) - AP Psychology - Economics - Personal Finance - Law Outside of teaching, I have 3 years experience tutoring grades K-12 in Reading, Math, and ACT Prep. I love to work with students of all ages in diverse course backgrounds! I also currently co-teach with a Language Arts teacher in an integrated English Language Arts and Social Studies course, which I have taught for the last 4 years. While not certified in ELA, I have extensive experience integrating ELA into my social studies lesson so students are hitting standards for two content areas within one lesson. Additionally, I am finishing up my MBA in Marketing, while also pursuing a certificate in Sports Leadership. I have played soccer my entire life and have coached a middle school girls team for the last 4 years.
